Settling down...finally!!!

Well, Christmas is over, and things are finally starting to settle down!!! There for a while, we were going non-stop, and poor Kallen wasn't sure where home was anymore. By day we were out shopping for presents, and by night we were visiting friends and family for various Christmas dinners. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE CHRISTMAS, and all it entails...it just wears on you after a while. Especially dragging a 13 month old through crazy busy stores, while baby #2 is dragging all my spare energy out. There were several times when I just wanted to curl up in a ball on those oh so inviting benches that stores leave here and there, and take a much needed nap. I resisted the temptation though, because I'm sure that those make shift beds don't come with their own baby sitters, and can you imagine the damage that 13 month old hands (and mouths for that matter) can do in a matter of seconds!!! Not something that I wanted to deal with. So instead...we made it through our shopping, and came home to take our naps; A much wiser choice in the long run!

Here's what Kallen thought of all the Christmas "hull-a-balloo"...

Now another years Christmas has come and gone, as have the beautifully wrapped presents under the tree. The many wonderful gifts we got from friends and family will remind us of this year, but nothing like the gift we got on Christmas eve! After talking about it for several months, Kevin and I decided that we wanted to dedicate Kallen to the Lord. We originally wanted to do it the weekend he turned 1 year, but various circumstances landed us on Christmas eve, and I'm so glad. Last year at this time, Kallen was making his acting debut as baby Jesus in the church drama, then this year on the eve of Jesus' birth, we were dedicating him!!! It was a very symbolic and sentimental thing for all of us involved! Now we have something that will help us always remember this Christmas!!! Sorry to get all mushy on you...I just wanted to share that tidbit!

Okay, so now the pregnancy hormones are kicking in, and I'm sobbing like a blubbering idiot. I guess I'll conclude today's blurb and go find myself some Kleenex.
