A "Thief" in the Night

For the past few months, there have been several mornings when Kevin and I wake up thinking something "just isn't right".  We can't quite pin-point what it is, just that something seems off.  Maybe a light left on that we didn't remember turning on.  A cup in the sink when I did dishes before bed.  A chair pulled out at the table when I could have sworn they were all pushed in that night, etc. etc.  Then, I started finding things like apples, bread, and even empty yogurt containers stashed throughout Kallens room.  Hmmmm...so Kallen is a midnight eater!

Well...then I started noticing the pantry door being left open, and after further investigation...a certain baking item was always left open as well.

...the brown sugar.

So far this week, I've found the brown sugar either on the table, or simply open on the shelf with a spoon in it at least 3 times!

Children's Services...could you please just look the other way when I padlock our pantry so my son can no longer eat brown sugar by the spoonful in the middle of the night!!!  Oh, and I found these out on the table the other morning...

...so I may just padlock the refridgerator as well!!!  Please don't judge me!!!

This is too funny! I probably wouldn't think it was so funny if it was my kiddo eating ketchup and mayonnaise and sugar in the middle of the night, but since it's YOUR kiddo, I think that's hilarious.

You should set up a video camera to catch him in the act. See if he is awake.

That sounds about like my boys...I'm all for the padlock on the pantry AND the fridge. Just imagine how it might be once he get's older...I keep hearin' boys are big teenage eaters!!!
